la·ment /ləˈment/ a passionate expression of grief or sorrow.
It’s okay to not be okay. Sometimes we don’t give ourselves permission to experience grief. But as Christians, we believe that lamenting is a tool that God has given us to move toward healing.
At this service, you will have space to grieve and mourn in healthy ways. But we don’t do these things for mere catharsis. Instead we do them so that we can move toward healing and health. At this service, you will have the opportunity to journal, pray, speak to pastors and/or licensed counselors, sit in quiet contemplation, talk with a friend, or talk to no one.
We invite anyone who is experiencing hardships: death, financial stress, relational/marital struggles, family problems, physical health issues, addictions, spiritual struggles and questions, or anything else that brings pain. This service is for you.
We won’t offer pat answers, but we will point to the one who is present. In scripture we see time and time again people pouring their hearts out to God in grief and sorrow. And what we also see time and time again is a God who meets them there.
